David Van, an African-American police sergeant in north Philadelphia meets Hendirk Mohale, his South African counterpart in Soweto, to explore how they each deal with crime-ridden neighborhoods and a legacy of racism on the job. "Blue & Black" was the second program in a series of groundbreaking documentaries for PBS that used digital video links and video diaries between people in different countries to explore common issues. The series was produced by Yerosha Productions.
